    The choice of cap design depends directly on your application and your thermal cycler's hardware:
    • Flat Caps: Essential for Real-Time Quantitative PCR (qPCR). They feature optically clear, flat surfaces that allow the instrument's laser excitation light and emitted fluorescence signals to pass through completely undistorted. They are also much easier to write on for labeling.
    • Domed Caps: Feature a rounded, convex top. The domed design provides excellent mechanical resistance against the heated lid of a standard thermal cycler, ensuring a tightly compressed, vapor-tight seal that excels at minimizing sample condensation and evaporation over long end-point PCR runs. They are not recommended for top-reading qPCR systems.

    2. What are the advantages of 8-Tube PCR Strips compared to individual single PCR tubes?

      While individual 0.2 mL PCR tubes offer maximum flexibility for small-scale operations or single assays, 8-tube strips significantly streamline mid-to-high throughput workflows. Tube strips speed up pipetting, arrangement, and capping protocols, minimizing the risk of losing individual samples. They provide an economical alternative to 96-well plates for experiments involving multiple samples or rows, fitting perfectly into multi-channel pipette routines and standard 96-well PCR blocks.

      3. What is the difference between Standard Profile (0.2 mL) and Low Profile (0.1 mL) PCR tubes?

        The profile height dictates reaction efficiency based on volume:
        • Standard Profile (0.2 mL): The conventional height standard, ideal for standard PCR reactions with working volumes between 20 μL and 100 μL.
        • Low Profile (0.1 mL): These tubes are shorter, which significantly reduces the dead air space ("headspace") above the reaction liquid. This minimizes evaporation, improves thermal uniformity, and accelerates heat transfer—making them the optimized choice for "fast" PCR cyclers and micro-volume protocols (under 20 μL).

They are strictly certified DNase-free, RNase-free, Protease-free, Human DNA-free, and Pyrogen/Endotoxin-free.
